Flight Times
Jaco is on the Pacific Ocean side of Costa Rica. All major US carriers provide direct flight service to Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO – airport code). From the US, flight times range from 3 to 7 hours. Flight times from major US cities (direct, one way):
- Miami and Orlando, FL to SJO – 2 hours
- Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC to SJO – 3 hours
- Houston or Dallas, TX to SJO – 3 to 3.25 hours
- New York or Boston to SJO – 4 hours
- Los Angeles to SJO – 5 hours
DRIVE TIME:
Costa Rica has invested millions of dollars on its roads and infrastructure. Costa Rica has just finished building a super highway leading to Jaco. This four lane, completely paved and flat highway makes the Villa only 45 minutes from the main airport in San Jose.
HELICOPTER:
There are several helicopter charters offering direct flight service from the San Jose airport to Los Suenos Marina, a 30 minute flight. Los Suenos Marina is only 10 minutes from Jaco. Flight prices for 4 people with carry on luggage ranges from $1,000 to $1,500.
